For all my CF speed questions, I consult Rob Galbraith's CF/SD Performance Database at //www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007.

Note that he lists speeds as MB/sec rather than mb/sec.

You won't find the Promaster card on Rob G.'s site (linked by riolobo) but you should still be able to answer your question. You can Fire off a sequence of shots, starting a stopwatch when you *begin* shooting the sequence, and ending when the LED indicating writing to the card goes out. Make sure you use a burst that's short enough that you don't overrun the buffer; if the camera's shooting rate slows down during the burst, it's too long, do over. Now take the total megabytes written (sum of the file sizes for the burst) and divide by the number of seconds elapsed. That's your write speed, in MB/s. Now compare to the data for other cards in Rob G.'s table for your camera.
