Im so mad, I took this
like 2 days before the challenge was announced.
I tried to do it again, but it doesnt compare to the first one!

Entered, and scored rather low:
Originally was going to enter this, but at the end chickened out because I thought it was not "macro" enough, even though it is more fun:
Wonder if this would have done better, even with slightly inadequate depth of field and colors too wild for many viewers.

Outtake, replaced one hour before voting started, when I realized I had shot one that day which would do much better.
Even though I pulled it, it is still one of my personal favorites, and the full, uncropped version makes a great desktop image.

Of the four, you made the right choice, IMO. Could have used a different angle / perspective though. |

Found these somehow boring. Also think, my entry didn't score well because people thought it wasn't macro enough (although what you see is twice as large as the original) |

 I think that's what got mine too.....I feel for ya!!! There is no doubt the mouse was MUCH smaller than 40% of the entries. BTW - those are mousetraps in the background. I hope to do better next time :)
