Does anyone can provide me with feedback on these lens ($700)?
I am thinking of getting the Nikkor 80-200 f2.8, but it is $920 and it was made in 1986. The Tamron lens were made and designed in 2008, also the Tamron lens has build in AF motor (which should make the lens to AF faster), and also the Tamron lens are lighter.

Cant find any reviews yet - its brand new, and looks very nice. If it is as good as the 28-75mm, then it should be a winner.

I think It has already gained 1st place on my wish list as I cant justify the spend on the equivalent Canon L glass...

If anyone has actually bought this, PLEASE join in and post some shots up!

Don't forget about the Sigma 70-200/2.8, which has some consistantly good reviews too...

Well,
The reviews I read say that the Nikkor 80-200 2.8 is considerably more sharp then the Sigma.
Also the Sigma is heavier and doesn't have a built in AF engine.

Sure it does: //www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/lenses_all_details.asp?id=3340&navigator=3

Photozone test shows that its the equal of the older 80-200.

Well,
Photozone says that the Nikkor 80-200 is superior to the sigma 70-200.
The thing here is that the price difference between Sigma and Nikkor 80-200 is about $100 and for that difference I'd rather get the nikkor.

Photozone says the Sigma is a "viable alternative, though not necessarily a superior choice"
