Hi All ;-)
On a tight budget, but been thinking about a ring flash for sometime and found this on ebay.
Has anyone had experinence on this ring flash and is it any good--worth investing £70?

| No experience with this product but just to say that I trust you realize the difference between a portrait ring flash and a macro ring flash. I only mention this because you have not indicated what you want to use it for. |

I am not an expert on Macro Ring flashes, but have been looking for one to go with my macro lens. What I have researched would tell me that you don't want this flash. I see nothing on the flash that says that it is ETTL-II compatible meaning you will always have to figure out the settings to make the exposure correct. While there are times when that can be useful and even fun, I think you also need a flash that is compatible with the Canon metering system. If you are looking for a budget flash take a look at Adorama.
They have a budget flash that is slightly more expensive than the one you are looking at and it is fully compatible with the Canon. They are unfortunaetly out of stock right now, but I am sure that by the time they get it in stock and ship it to you that it would arrive before this one you are looking at on eBay.
