I have the D80 which i love and Nikon 17-55,70-200vr and 105vr macro lenses. The lenses are fantastic but i'm debating on upgrading to the d300.I've read Tom Hogans review in which he says its a big leap for a pro-sumer user as some of the menus and settings are quite indepth and getting used to this camera is a steep learning curve.I would be grateful for any and all opinions on this camera and whether i should change my camera at this time. Also any feelings on the Nikon D2Xs and do you think the price of this camera will drop drematically due to the introduction of the D300.

I went from the D40 to the D300... I havent had a bit of a problem. I love love LOVE love the 300. The camera is not that hard to learn, I have read my owners manual several times and I 'play around' with it a lot. The 300 new is only about $300 more than a new 200, so IMO it is totally worth the upgrade.
