I found the one and only thing green that is growing in Syracuse.
Found this little bit o green (moss) in front of the heating exhaust at work. Its the only thing green in Syracuse besides the stoplights. (; The rocks in this photo are no bigger than a dime, if that.
Comments are welcome.

Spring seems to be almost over in Texas - we are fast heading for summer around here...

what a wonderful micro environment! ;)

We have been enjoying spring-like weather, but it snowed here again yesterday and today. In for a big storm tomorrow I hear.
Fear not.. spring will prevail! :)

Like I said this spot just happened to be under the heating exhaust. Its the only green spot I've seen. LOL Now it is snowing again.
For the last two weeks its been between 30 - 70, so I'm sure that summer will be here soon. I hope I hope I hope!

Yeah, I'm just getting over a cold! Hope that is it for me.

My sister lives in Texas! She said it was freezing the other day(65)LOL

I would have said that Winter was almost over here, but it snowed last night and the night before. There were about 2 inches on the ground this AM.

Michigan will eventually move into its next season; Mud. After Mud comes Spring, followed by a brief Summer, which will give way to Road Construction and Bugs. Finally, Fall will come to kill the bugs and start the next season, Leaf Blowers. After that, it will snow, bringing us back to Winter.

The never ending circle of life! You gotta love it.

On a personal note: I found out today that a job I was offered, one that would put me back in Denver and back with my wife and sons, fell through today. I'm really depressed! I have been away from my family for only 8 months, but that seems like an eternity. Kinda puts being stationed in Iraq into perspective. I at least get to go and visit once a month. I couldn't handle being there for months or years without seeing my family. Hats off to the veterans!!!!

Lets see.....How do I put a lost job opportunity Off-Screen?

Is it beer:30 yet?

AH yes, spotting green here in Missouri too. It's about time. Getting tired of shooting pictures of snow and dead leaveless trees. They make good balck and whites. But, looking forward to a new season and finding new things to shoot as far as nature scenes go.

At least, once in a while, Syracusans put the green light on top as on Tipperary Hill! Sorry to hear of your missed opportunity to be back in Denver with your family. Hang in there!

Looks like the color green is hard to find in your neck of the woods too!

Nice shots, are you getting a zoom lens?

That's fortunate, but also unfortunate, from my perspective. It is pretty much green year here where I live (West Coast). Like evergreens, you know Ever-Green. But spring is rolling around! YaY!

Yes Martin, no green around here! Yes I have a 200mm f2.8 on order, looks like it will never come though!

It is beautiful here (so I'm bragging) It will be hot and horrible in a few weeks time, and last until the end of Autumn (so I'm complaining)

Neil, I bet it seems like time is standing still.

I just bought a Sigma 70mm - 300mm lens and these are some of my first shots with it. It was a dreary, overcast day, so most of them just didn't come out very good. Here are some of the better ones.

Peekaboo
Seagulls
