The description says: "....Show us your mug shot."
OK, does that mean it's a shot of MY mug? Or any mug shot I can take, therefore it's my photo of a mug?

The "your mug shot", to me can mean that you can alternatively take a photo of someone else, because it's technically "your" mug shot ("your"--possessive, meaning you own it).

I don't see why it'd have to be a self-portrait.

This doesnt have to be a Self Portrait. Thats my take on the challenge.

If I had known of this challenge, I would have waited for this shot. :P

Your hair has the look of a northern geologist. I remember hearing tales of a thickly-haired geologist who would let the horse-flies etc burrow into his hair before squashing them there, where they would be left until the end of the day. :-)

But "hints of why the person was taken in." ?????? Money? Homelessness? Vanity? He or she was just asleep/sitting duck/politician?

The last time I was on jury duty, the guy was on trial for public drunkenness. The only actual evidence the prosecution presented was they guy's mug shot, blown up to about 3x life size. It worked, we convicted the guy in 20 minutes.

Agreed. If it was meant to be a self-portrait only, the directions should have been clearer.

pfffttt. What difference does it make...who will know if it's a self-portrait or not until the challeng is over?

Mug Shots Galore
This oughta get you started.

My favorites are Nick Nolte and Rip Torn. I'm still laughing.

Right, Barry. It doesn't matter. It can be a self-portrait or not. We were just answering someone's question who asked whether it had to be.

Yes I know... and this challenge did tempt me. However, I've set myself a goal

From my profile:
I plan* on treating myself a DPC membership only after I'm able to get 3 score of 6.0 or more in consecutive challenges.

* Plan subject to financial approval

A reward for myself if you will... or perhaps a way of making myself feel better about not being able to afford membership at the moment.

An admirable goal, but just to warn you, it took me more than 18 months before I managed it. Becoming a member would probably help you achieve the goal faster, because you could enter more than twice as many challenges (weekly plus monthly free study an other occasional member challenges).

So is everyone making lines on the wall and a card with a name or number?
