Curious - what other digital photography sites are there out there? How do they compare with DPC in terms of a sense of community, quality, learning experience, fun, site design and use etc.?

Sometimes I enter Worth1000.com contests. That's it for me.

DPC has one of the nicest and easiest to use websites I've seen, but there are definetly others.

Photo Points
Deviant Art

Melking23 also sent me a link to a stock photo site that will buy your photos, but I can't remember what it was, you can PM her if you're interested.

dpreview.com has a ton of camera-specific forums. The Fuji digital forum is a very nice community.

It's not a digital photography site per se.. but there are forums, etc. and you can sell your art (but you won'tmake any money) www.istockphoto.com

Also... there are some really interesting digital photography pages on www.photo.net.

Cheers!

If you don't think you will make any money why are you a member over at www.dreamstime.com? Just wondering!

I´ve looked at few of them (lost the links) but I think there is no doubt that this is the best.

If you are wanting POTD sites, go to StevesDigicams and look at the POTD. There is a list of about a dozen you can enter.

I've entered several of the challenges at //www.photos-of-the-year.com and find that their members are pretty helpful in critiquing/commenting on the photos. It doesn't seem to be as busy or as populated as this one, but it still is a pretty good site.

www.photosig.com (not just digital)
www.photournament.com (not just digital)

And you can submit your work to places like:

Oh yeah... and I don't think you need to just have a Kodak camera to submit to Kodak's photo of the day www.kodak.com

There's betterphoto.com that has monthly contests and prizes. I've seen winning works of members here winning over there too.

One of the best kept secrets is trekearth.com - there's no competition involved, the emphasis is on critiquing and thus learning. You can upload a photo a day and members comment on your photograph. The atmosphere is convivial; members are decent and generous in sharing their expertise. There's a few members here who are members there too.
