My wife filled out some information for Oprah's Big Give and recieved 2 free months of people. Well, when we recieve the March issue on page 37 it says:

CINDY -(HER LAST NAME)-,
IF OPRAH GAVE YOU A BUNCH OF MONEY, BUT YOU HAD TO GIVE IT ALL AWAY, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I'm a graphic designer, so I understand that this could have been added later by a printer. It's definitly not a stamp, it was printed on, but some ads put personalized names on pages to trick people. I decided to go down to the store to find another copy, and that one said something like this:

TEN PEOPLE WERE GIVE LOT OF MONEY, BUT THEY HAVE TO GIVE IT AWAY. FIND OUT WHAT THEY DO WITH IT.

So, I've been trying to find another person who may have filled this form out and recieved 2 free months of people. I need to know what it says in your magazine on the top of the Oprah Page; 37.

Thank you!!

The people have been picked for ages, so unless your wife has been taping with Oprah for a while, she wasn't choosen. I don't subscribe, but I don't think it would be hard to personalize them for the people that do.

I have been looking into this a lot and figured out how the new reality show works. 10 people are given a lot of money and they are given a picture of a complete stranger. They must use this money to change the lives of this stranger.

I understand they already have the 10 givers, but they don't announce the getters until the show starts. My wife had a pretty good story to tell Oprah, so she did have a chance. I was just looking for someone who has a subscription of People so I could see what their magazine says.

That would be the only way to know for sure right now, or I could just wait until March 2nd.

Nobody gets the magazine?

My guess is that anyone who subscribes to the magazine has their name printed in the ad, and that those sold on the newsrack are "generic" versions. Many magazines also print the subscriber's address on the cover rather than affixing a label.

I thought that might be the case, but the front of the label is printed with ink, and with a different font. The Oprah page looks like it was created pre-print, and when I try to rub off the ink nothing happens.

And we're from Kansas City and one of the judges is Tony Gonzalez, a Kansas City Chiefs player. Who I'd like to mention, picked my wife and her children as his secret santa in 2006. Each Chiefs player got to pick the person they'd buy presents for, and he picked my wife.

Hmmm...thoughts?

I have a subscription to People and my name is on page 37, same as you describe. Sorry to disappoint.
