I found this program called Portrait Professional in one of the digital photography magazines. I tried and purchased it. It's a very nice program for quick fixes of the portraits. I used it for a several photos, worked nicely. Here is what else you can do with this besides cleaning the skin... it morphs the face but not in a bad way. Trust me, if you haven't seen anything like this, try the demo. You can make many clients of yours happy by giving their well adjusted portraits ;)

I tried this now too, and it works very well, it's super simple, and the results are great... it's a great time saver to if you're doing lots.

That's the point with this program. You still can fix more with PS after using Portrait Pro and probably could have perfect image each time :)

The morphing part is also pretty good, with points you put, program actually makes the head looks better in default mode :)

One think though, you have to purchase the additional plug in to use Raw format :P

ya... which sucks... but I figure if I use lightroom to do the major Raw adjustments, export of jpg, Use PP6 to do the face and them finish is PS I'm good to go :) (or spend the $50 which I don't want to do right now)

tried it and really liked it. I can't afford the extra plug-in, though, but don't mind to do raw conversion first. I took 20 years off that one lady in the demo! Also used it one a photo of my daughter with a fairly moderate acne problem. couldn't save it 'cause I haven't paid for the program yet, but it sure made her day. :)

I bought it as well. I'm trying to reduce my retouching workload, and this is fast, consistent and fool proof, so I can sublet the work to anyone...now to train my 7 year old how to do it!

The morphing is kind of a trip. Its certainly effective but looking at the gallery it can make some pretty radical changes.

I use it all the time. It saves me a lot of time and my clients always pick the photos that have been touched-up with it. I recently shot a group of 11 business head shot portraits and they picked the Portrait Professional Edits 100%.

I shot about 100 photos, narrowed them down to 25, retouched all with a quick white balance, exposure and sharpening to make set one. Set two was done with Portrait Professional 6. They bought 100% from the Portrait Professional set and called me back the next week for more! It's well worth the money! A huge time saver and it really makes people look great.

I even had one of my female clients tell me that I was the best photographer she'd ever been photographed by. She said "This is the first time I've ever seen a photograph that looks like me" (It looked better) She bought almost every shot I took of her. I have more examples but I hope you get the point. Get it!

I like the fact that it doesn't remove all the facial hair in it's removal of blemishes

PortraitProfessional is not photography either! (sorry, in a cheeky kind of a mood today).

I've used this before and really liked it - but it was just too expensive for what it was and what I can do in CS3. Also it's no good for people wearing glasses (like my wife and I).

one thing though, because it's fun, try not to go too overboard and have people look like dolls LOL which I did for one of my entries :P

Overall is worth the money because saves LOTS of time ;)

Quasimojo you are correct though, not for everything and everyone :/

It's way over-processed, but took me 15 minutes and my daughter's pleased.

(She would prolly like me to note that this was pre-dermatologist and she was having a bad week :)).

If all you need is a web image that's fine. Won't work well when you need to make larger prints

The skin has improved to the one on the right. The wedding gown lost some grey tones and detail. Can certain areas be selected?

Not sure...(I need to play with this much more... but in my mind this is where I would take it back into PS to do the final tweek of the photo and print... to me at least the majority of the work has been done in PP6

If you're having to take it back into photoshop anyway, how is it saving time or boosting productivity?

FWIW, I can remove all blemishes on a face in about 30 seconds using the healing brush, I can't see where this is gonna help much.

I think because it does a lot more than just clear the skin. After looking at the video on their site it does a whole bunch of stuff like lips, eyes, hair and everything basically. Not sure how it knows where the eyes and mouth is though so maybe it only works if the picture is done in a certain way?

Still, it looks like a piece of piss to use. How much is it by the way?
