I read back a few posts, but I am still undecided on what to do...

How many of you actually do PM people during a challenge?
How many of you don't like to get a response to a comment during a challenge?

I received a comment, and it was a straight up comment (meaning nothing mean or nasty was said) but I wanted to clarify something to the commenter... would that be stupid of me to PM them back? I understand the swaying of votes.... but I am doing so bad right now, that I don't think another 1 would really hurt me!?!!? LoL

Thanks guys and gals! You ROCK!

I will PM people sometimes in response to a comment, usually if they ask a question or if I want to clarify something about the image. I have also had PMs from those I comment on.

I send a pm if someone asks a question on my shot (not rhetorical) and I feel like answering.

In general, I don't like getting pms on my comments *during* a challenge because they tend to be a "you just don't get it" reply to my comment. I don't mind the "thanks for taking the time". I recently asked a "what is this?" question b/c I really wanted to know (I received a pm in reply and was glad I did)

Just one woman's opinion

I don't think there's actual jail-time involved with PM-ing anyone. But I'd check the rules just to be safe ;-)
Although, we could take up a collection plate for your bail money if need be.

I´ve once done a PM during challenge and also got back PM on comment and I find it fine. But we are all suposed to be anonymus throug the voting so I think it´s best to do a PM after the result is clear.

Well I confuse people sometimes. I may not PM everyone but if I get one comment pertaining to not meeting the challenge I will sometimes send one to them to explain the photo. I honestly don't think their one vote if changed is going to effect my terrible score anyway. And if it were against the rules don't you think they'd make the comments unknown until the end of the challenge? I personally don't mind if someone sends me a PM. It doesn't mean I'll change my vote or comment though.

I don't mind being responded to at all - though sometimes one wonders whether one's comments have been fully understood.
