Yikes, I'm getting my lowest scores yet. I knew that people would not be able to figure out what I meant. I think people take 2 seconds to look at a photo, so if it doesn't immediately strike them as interesting, which would usually only be the color, and subject, then it's a 1 or 2 score. Hmm... Maybe I'll just make my images insanely saturated for the next competition so I can blind someone when they view it. I think that's quite an impact... then at least I'll get a comment of "WOW what colors!!!" - although it's all post processing and not natural
I'm beginning to wonder if some of the voters are only going for the superficial aspects of the images...which would be bad for those who wants to put in some theme or underlying idea.
What do you all think?
Oh yeah, and it feels terrible to get these low scores...ouch!

im feeling it also...I started out with a 10, then 3 more votes took me to a 5.7, heck it could be a 4 by the time I finish typing this

| Me too. Had 5.75 with 4 votes and dropped to 4.8 with 5. I figured out that someone just gave it a 1. Some people have a narrow view of conflict. |

I think its sorta silly to look at the first few votes and have real feel of how your photo will do.
In the morning...after a few more have voted, that will give you a better idea. Mine is at a 3.75, not real good....but I know it will go up. alot I hope. : 0 |

4 votes and a 5.25! I guess people didn't get the meaning behind my photo.
But its ok, I liked my photo and its meaning, thats the important thing.

| I think you guys should wait a couple of hours before panicking. My scores usually level out by the next day, and that is where they finish at the end of the week. |

| Very first vote I received was a 1. Oh well I didn't have a challenge idea til the very end and shot it and edited it with very little time. I actually uploaded it at 11:58 now that is pushing it. |

Yeah, I took my picture with about an hour to do it, spent like two minutes editing it and resizing it, and submitting.
I knew it was something that DPCers might not like. And I was so right. Haha, although I thought it might bet a little better than it is. |

Hi everyone... new kid on the block here.
This was the first challenge I entered, and a tough one to figure out to boot. I'm at 5.1 with 8 votes, so I guess I'm up there for now. Waiting to see it plummet though :)

| I know how you're feeling. My score is just under 5 and I have only eight votes so far. It's about the same start as my previous two entries but those two didn't go up all that much during the voting. I hope this one does. |

yeah i'll say.
my images haven't been doing THAT well lately.. but i thought i had a good one here... but it is a meger 4.6 so far :(
