Though squeamish about piercings I like the composition and tones very much
Is there also a tattoo there.... wish it was darker

Its not a tattoo... its a 'scarification'... another quirky thing that some people do :)

I like how you started the thread of with ‘Greetings.’ Funny. And what is a scarification? Scarring? |

Yes.. I'm not completely sure how this one was done tho. Some people do it with heat... a form of 'branding' and others do it with tattoo machines and no pigment in them... I will see if i can find out how this one was applied...

Looks to me like someone got piercings for 8 hoops in her back, then looped a ribbon through them. Call me old fashioned, but I'll lug my junk around in a backpack. |

Desinfection with open flame or alcohol?? |

I like this shot John. I feel high key works very well here. The lines flow nicely from top to bottom. Thanks for sharing.

argh, the piercing scares me but i like the photo.
I wish there was a little more space at the bottom though since the ends of the ribbons are cut off.

John
I think a shot like this needs more warning than:
Corset: Warning - Nudity
:)

J. Setzler - you are squandering your considerable interest and talent on these dilettante masochist-exhibitionist local subjects. Venues such as Karachi, Panama City, Bangkok, even San Francisco, California provide seriously shocking exhibitions, to photograph in artistic B/W for display in DPC forums. Opportunity awaits. |

I want to know where you found your model that is one fantastic body art she is sporting. Excellent work on your behalf. |

My sister owns a tattoo/body piercing shop. I have been asked to provide photography for the piercing artist in hopes of getting his 'art' published in a magazine or two. I get occasional calls to photograph more interesting things such as this one. On rare occasions, I get something that *I* like as well.. :)

Now I know I got to look up your sister when I come down to NC in May. That is definately one extreme piercing. Excellent work on the behalf of whoever did it. |

So you get tattoos/piercings from your sister that you don't like fairly regularly? =] |

John 99%of your work is appealing. I like the lines of this shot, the tones and the fascination of the piercings. I'd love to see more like this in the future.
I don't think a row of solid gold rings [with diamonds] from my cervical lumbar to my coccyx would make my buns look this cute!!!!
I hate her. :)
Yours, green-eyed Justine
