I posted this last night and have gotten no reply. I would really appreciate any feedback as I am a new photographer and trying to learn more.

Thanks,
Mandy

Hi Mandy,

I've left some comments on a few of the shots. The abandoned building (the face front one) is my favorite in your series.

Edit: Typed your name wrong... So, I apologize to the others as well, they followed my lead... :-)

Hi maggie
love your shots, I am partial to old buildings and the like.
I went to new orleans on a road trip once, Got lots of simular shots.
a few of your shots look like New oreleans.

Some very nice shots there Maggie,I would sharpen some of them up using the unsharp mask. Overall very good series.

I like the church pictures in the first set the best, they look pretty good with the sun behind giving that glow onto the roof, etc. The barn pics in the first set are OK, but like someone said, the first one especially needs USM to make it a little sharper. The 3rd and 4th barn pictures, I don't like the composition... On the 3rd, you could have looked for a better angle, maybe shooting into the dark area more, from the left, and leave out some of the dry grass and the roof which aren't very interesting. In the 4th, I don't like it that the bottom is cut off... I realize that you probably wanted to capture most of that roof so maybe instead you should have shot it in portrait, with just a little ground in the pic and a littl sky... this would give a nice closeup of at least half of the roof.

In the second set, I like the door with the green chair... you should have adjust the chair so it's not folded up and then shot it in portrait, zooming in so that just the right door, chair, and a little bit of the left door are in the picture. It's not necessary to show the entire door and framing, etc. in this. Use PS to liven up the colors a little also.

The other shots are pretty good also.
