Just received an email this morning from Alamy about some changes, including faster QC time:

Our QC process could be better. In Q1 of 2008 we are launching a new process that will mean your images will only take 48hrs to move through our system from upload to being available to keyword. This will make things quicker and also reduce the likelihood of us rejecting very large batches of images sent in over a period of time. We hope to further reduce this time to 24 hours at a later date.

Has anybody had this turnaround yet? When a company says "Q1", they generally mean anytime they please from Jan-March. =)

Mine have been going through in less than 48 hours for a couple of weeks now :)

=P =)

My last and largest (and admittedly sloppiest) batch took 24 days and then failed, and as a result I've haven't sent any since. I think this will get me back in it!

My last took 22 and passed just a few days ago...

Got the email too. Some interesting plans there.
I have 50+ in the queue since 10th January so watching closely.

Do let us know. I'll resubmit a few of the better ones from my failed batch tonight.

I just uploaded 23 photos. The submission status still reports "Processing - can take up to 25 days", but I'll report back when QC is finished.

My 50 in the queue are... still in the queue. It seems to have got worse, not better!

I've had images awaiting QC since the 2nd. Don't think they are quite at the 48 hour mark.

From what I hear ... 48hours just isn't happening yet for the masses

My last batch took 30 days and I have one waiting (with 29 photos) that I uploaded last Friday the 8th. It will be very nice if it does get down to 48 hours.

Uploaded two batches on the 2nd of Feb. They just passed QC. Not quite 48 hours, but better.

The batch I uploaded Friday the 8th past last night...5 day turnaround! Awesome!

140 just accepted. Now to keywording - ugh!

I had posted 86 photos end of December. I got that email somewhere about mid january saying they would only take 48 hours. My photos just passed QC first week of February. So it took about 35 days. And the new keywording system is a time consumer. I still have hundreds and hundreds of photos that i should upload, but may withhold.
