One of my customers works at the Wild Animal Park and gave me 3 tickets (worth nearly $90) to the park when I told him I was going today. All week I wondered who to give them to, thinking a customer would get them, then the light bulb lit up. The plan was to go and lay in waiting, watching, looking for a family going to the ticket booth and walk over and surprise them. When I saw William and his parents, it was obvious they would be the ones and went over, introduced myself, asked if they would like to go to the park free today.

Pretty cool when you can leave people speechless with a random act of kindness.

Well done Brad :O)

Definitely the true spirit of the season!

I've done the same type of thing several times at baseball games (Mariners) when I have extra tickets... always on the look for the "parent & child" combo hoping to get into a sold-out game. Very rewarding.

Happy holidays to you & yours.

Brad, I've run out of ways to tell you what a good soul you are. Just stay away from the sheep. ;)

Hats off to you Brad. That is a very touching story. Saint Nick came early this year for that family, and I'm sure William had a great time. Thanks for sharing. Bravo!

That's cool, and it's eerily like what I used to do. For many years I was a member of the zoological society in San Diego, and part of the annual package was a handful of guest passes. So every year during the Xmas season my kids and I would go to the zoo entrance and I'd let them pick a family to receive our left-over passes.

You sure we're not brothers?

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. For those that have listened to the Podcast, I did receive my only Christmas wish - more smiling people. Was a pretty neat moment, and though I'm not really tuned into the disabled in regards to body language and such, William did change expressions, so I know he was cognizant of what took place. His Mom's welled-up eyes nearly made me get going as well.
Thanks again all.

PS
Robert.
No, we are not brothers, because if we were, I'd be forced to go punch my Mom out for having an affair. HaHaHa or rather HoHoHo!

Brad, sometimes I wonder how you stuff all that heart in just one chest.

As I said on the interview...he is like a breath of fresh of air. There should be more people like him.

As Brad said...'A smile is magic'.

But, but, but... He drives like a madman and takes pics of chicks all day! He's NOT all good, I swear! I know....
