Somehow I accidentally pushed a key combination on my PC that turned of all the photos for every challenge and even My Portfolio when viewed with Firefox! But Netscape, however, looks normal. (I long ago removed IE from my PC.)

Also, both Safari & Firefox show the page normally on my iMac. Only the DP Challenge site suffers from this problem; other sites are normal.

I wonder if it is a setting in the DP Challege cookie that is causing the problem? I'll delete it if no one knows which key will undo the setting.

I see the frame & title on a normal-looking web page, but the frame is blank. A double-click only presents the larger blank frame. I have to right-click and select 'view image' and then it opens in a separate window.

Any ideas about what has happened or how to correct it?

Chuck

Using Explorer? Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab. Scroll to Multimedia section. Make sure "Show pictures" is checked.

have you tried to shut down your pc and restart it?

Yes, I have rebooted the computer since this problem arose a couple of weeks ago.

Not using IE - and Firefox doesn't seem to have equivalent settings.

Images show fine at the Nikonians site's galleries an National Geographic looks great! It's only the DP Challenge site that I'm having a problem with ... and it's only the challege & portfolio photos--the dpchallenge logo appears on every page.

bvlindalou's link looks very promising, so I'm wading through it--so far passed all the tests. Since the site also mentioned deleting Firefox's cookie, I gave that a try; it seems the only way I could have this problem with just one web site (unless dpchallenge set something on its server).

Neither deleting some, and then all the 7 dpchallenge cookies helped with my problem. Strange, but when I went to login, my user name and password (********) came up in the login window. This was after I had deleted three cookies relating to user name and password. Now that I think about it, however, it may be Firefox that is remembering those instead of dpchallenge.

Hurrah for bvlindalou! Your link led me to the buried answer--which was the same track Louis was on, except that he was referring to Internet Explorer and I couldn't make the transfer.

In Firefox, under Tools-->Options-->Content, there is a check box to "View Images Automatically" I had looked at this page, and had made sure that the box was checked. What I didn't see then was that there is an "Exceptions" button over to the far right. Once I clicked that button, I saw dpchallenge.com listed as an exception.

Deleting that line solved the problem immediately! I have no idea how dpchallenge got added as an exception--some key sequence accidentally pressed was responsible.

Many thanks to those who helped.
