I have two keyboards that we decided to dump recently because some of the keys stopped working. I decided to wash them out under hot water. Will let them dry for a couple of weeks before I try them though. Has anyone else done this? and what were the results?

Personally I've put a few in the dishwasher (top rack, water only, no soap) and after it was done, let them dry for about a week. Never had a problem, all of them worked after their bath.

Thanks, Brian

I thought about using the dishwasher too, but I would have probably used soap. The keys are pretty dry, but I was wondering how long to wait for the board under the keys that is supposedly "sealed." Just to be safe, I'll wait a week or two though.

For the others, I realize the keyboards are cheap, but I'm doing this because of the challenge of doing it. You know, something to say that I did sometime.
