Why is it that I get so nervous, when I am behind the camera, I forget everything that I have read and all the tips. Well anyway, here is one photo from today, I had someone hold a reflector on this shot. I did not edit it yet. Let me know what you think.

Nice shot. It's hard sometimes to remember when we feel like were on the spot. You have a nice photo here and if I could offer a few things. They are based soly on my gut as I am as far from a pro as one can get, so for what it's worth here goes.

1) The overall shot is well composed and holds together well, your colour and contrast work nicely and flow throughout your shot.

2) The bokeh in the top third of the shot is eye catching and a little distracting and I would crop just above her head (I read that you haven't done your edit yet so this is just how I see things) but I would leave it wide and all the bottom in the shot.

3) You have only the smallest amount of nose shadow and it did attract me to it but didn't hold my eye long.

4) What does hold my attention longer than the shadow is the lighting blowout on the hair. What colour of reflector did you use? I have found that when I shot just women or girls I like the tones of the gold reflector, for men and boys silver works very well for me.

These are not the end of the world and as you said you have yet to edit,so this is easily fixed for you. Blond hair in the sun with a gold reflector even in women is hard to avoid the blow out.Thank goodness for PP.

Any hew nice shot and if you took more when are you going to post them?

All the Best

MAX!

I like the B&W conversion and the grey border on your other shot and I would suggest you convert the first shot and have a look see. I love B&W shots they are so warm and welcoming.

Lighting is nice. May consider shooting from a lower vantage. Also don't want to crop off the bottom half of your subject and fill the top half of the frame with ugly lawn, but you probably realize that at this point.

number 1- very nice lighting, but I don't like the road and grass going through the background. If I had to choose I'd prefer just the grass. But the color and lighting is very nice. I wish the dog was looking the same direction as the girl, but we can't expect animals to do things like that hehe.

Number 2 is very nice except the top of her head is cut off.

All in all a very nice job though!
