I downloaded plugins to use with cs3 and can't get them to work no matter where i put them! Also i downloaded urban acid and dont know where to put that to get it to work!!!
Sorry these are most likely really stupid questions but they're driving me nuts and can't seem to find an answer that works. Cheers. |

Urban Acid, at least, is an "action", not a "filter". Actions go in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Photoshop Actions.
To use an action for the first time you need to load it to make it active. On your History Palette there's a tab for actions: click that, then click the flyout arrow upper right to see a list of actions that are stored but not on the active list. Click Urban Acid and it will transfer to the active list and be available from that point on.
FILTERS go in the plugin subfolder, as above. Actions can be recognized because they have a .atn tag on the name.

or on a Mac it's Applications -> Adobe Photoshop CS3 -> Plugins
Don't forget you have to restart photoshop for it to recognize them. |
