I've been struggling for along time trying to make my photography mo'betta. My 'shop skills are pretty poor at least in part because I have lousy manual reading skills and am not very adventurous when it comes to trying commands that I am unsure of.

But since quitting my "big boy" (aka "real") job and going back to a life of part time work and photo-slacking my 'shop skills have been picking up. I credit this to an internship I've scored with a local photographer who is tutoring me an in all things photo.

I guess I would suggest that anyone who can grab a tutor/mentor ought do so. And anyone fit to mentor be open to doing it.

My uber-thanks to my mentor and I swear to pass on the favor anytime I can.

I agree. That's the one thing I regret about the way I started business. I just jumped in with both feet. Luckily, people here on DPC and elsewhere have been very kind and patient with me. :-)
