When I am using my fuji 3800 for wildlife photography, I miss a lot of action because you have to wait on the camera to focus. If there is good light can I mash the shutter button all the way down in one motion and come out with a good picture or do I have to push it down half way and wait on it to focus.

Thanks

does your camera come with full time auto focus? If so, you can use this & keep things in focus all the time. This does, however, use up loads of battery life. Another thing you can do is, keep the shutter button pressed half way down, with everything in focus, & then press it fully when something interesting comes along. I personally wouldnt press the shutter all the way down in one fell swoop 'cause you are not guaranteed a well focused shot this way. Kinda shooting craps, ya know.
It couls happen. Give
em all a try & see what happens. Good luck!

3800 works the best in portraiture program and needs lot of light to focus. If you go in manual F2.8 set put EV .3 or .7 steps negative to speed up the shutter speed or you will get 99 % blur shots.

Here are some animals taken with Fuji3800.

I think you can take decent wildlife pictures with the 3800.

I used pre-focus by pushing shutter half way down and then snap when I have it composed the way I want it. Try using it on subjects far enough away so that focus will be infinity until you get the hang of it.
