Hi

I am looking for some advice on the following photo, I think it has potential to be quite interesting but i'm really after tips/advice on how I could have improved it? I'd be grateful for any advice/feedback no matter how small :o)

This shot seems too much cluttered and fuzzy-eyed birds. the subjects, girl and birds can be great. A sharply focused and high contrast B/W would make the birds stand out. This one here should have hte left 1/2 cropped out.

I would've preferred a different angle, front or back. Maybe a closeup of one or two birds and part of the girl, either headshot or upper body. In this moment the bird on her shoulder and her facial expression may have been interesting.

I'm not sure if any flash would've scared away the birds. A diffused battery powered light may have worked. I have a portable jumpstart car battery and a handheld spotlight that plugs into a cigarette lighter. I haven't tried it out on location, yet, but bounced at a reflector, it could work.

Cropping the left side does seem to make the girl more of the focus.

Did that one on the bottom right charge you? Tell me he charged you and bit your nose!

lol oh dear indeed! Suits you sir!

Yes the one on the bottom right was a demon bird and it came and pecked me right on the hooter! hehe nah not really. It does have a crazy look in its eye though.

I might try converting this to B&W as suggested and see how that turns out. It looks good cropped though.
Thanks guys :o)
