I once again received an e-mail from Adobe allowing owners of Elements to upgrade to CS3 for $299. In the past I disregarded the e-mail, this time I purchased the software. So, I'm looking for suggestions on Photoshop tutorial type books to get to help with the learning curve a bit. Any ideas?

I like the free Radiant Vista tutorials and workshops.

Thanks Doc! I've bookmarked the site. But must admit I'd like a good CS3 book myself.

I'm currently using CS2 and I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon as I just picked up adobe light-room which I find works with my work follow much better and is much easier on my hard drive, since I don't need to save countless versions of corrected photos anymore. Anyways to the point does CS3 have Light room qualities to it. Is there something I'm missing out in??

Lightroom and CS3's "ACR" (Camera Raw) share the same engine for turning your raw files into images. But the UI is different. With CS3 you would use Bridge as your browsing UI and jump into ACR to process a photo. With Lightroom you just stay in Lightroom the whole time. So for handling lots of images, I'd stick with LR. For individual images or small groups, Bridge plus ACR is just as capable as Lightroom.

Either way, CS3 is still a nice upgrade from CS2 due to other features (smart objects, black and white adjustments, UI changes and more).
