Does anyone know why this image is much sharper, but when I reized it it gets out of focus? Granted, I added and changed the font for it to work for a cross-stitch pattern so it doesn't look exactly the same, but sharpenss of the ring/hand should be the same...right?

| You generally need to resharpen after resizing (up or down). |

| That's a very extreme amount of fuzziness happening though. What resize method are you using? (bicubic, smoother, nearest neighbor, etc, etc) Look in the resize image box when it comes up. |

Right. I can't think of any reasonable explanation why those two images should be so different in sharpness just based on resizing alone. Looks like one of them HAS to have been sharpened more than the other.
As a rule of thumb, when making images smaller use "bicubic sharper" method, and usually sharpen the reduced-size image a little more after resizing.

Yeah, there's something going wrong there. It shouldn't be getting that fuzzy when you resize.
The process should be;
- Resize (use 'Bicubic Smoother' if making it bigger)
- Sharpen
- Add text |
