At the beginning of the month I decided to switch health plans and due to my own ignorance I submitted the paperwork the day after the deadline to maintain benefits. It means I don't have health care until the first of March. At the time, something I thought it was no big deal.

Well, two days ago I bit into bacon egg cheese biscuit and hit an extremely hard bit of bacon and chipped off about a quarter of the back side of my molar. Right now I feel like I did after I had my wisdom teeth pulled and the root dried out. I'm taking a vicodin or two every 3 hours just to get the pain down to a throb. And talk about surly! I'm biting everyone's head off. The slightest provocation is met venomous flurry that not only hurts the person who gave me the perceived slight but embarrasses me in the process.

And of course today I get to go to the dentist, which I hate, and pay for the visit, exam, x-rays, and whatever course of action he decides is best right out of pocket.

... and your score is also bombing.

Too bad - you have my commiserations.

Try alcohol. It works.

Don't forget to tell them you don't have insurance, and it's coming out of your pocket. They'll hold back on the pain killers. But seriously, they might have on their records you are covered and do some "extra" stuff.
