I know you can't make everyone write a comment. But I would like it if the top ten photo's had a little description of how the photo was made.

I'm allways curious as to how it was done, or set up and PP.

Can't DPC make an extra rule for photo's finishing in the top ten to write a little about their picture?

I think the first 3 automatically gets a request for validation so they usually submit what they did to SC. If they would put that to their decription that would be help. Or if site manager D&L, create an option for SCs to put relevant post processing to these shots (as submitted by photog). Then we will have little details about every shot finishing in top 3.

Apparently. Fishing line and flashlights are the secrets. Oh and don't forget to upgrade your camera everytime a new one comes out.

I absolutely LOVE it when I see a bit of a 'how to' for photos... I learn a chunk, and am encouraged to try new things.

Which to me personally, is the point of hanging around this place ;)

Looked through the finder, pushed the shutter release, made the picture.

That about covers it.

I try and include as much as I can remember about pictures I think need explaining.

One of the main reasons i joined this site was for the knowledge it brings with it and if I can add something to that then all the better.

I wish that there was the facility to go back in to your entry to add notes, or to edit those that are already there, during the voting stage, rather than having to remember to do it as you enter (assuming you have the time) or waiting until voting has finished.

But what was the forethought?

Or is it always by the seat of your pants?

Just wondering.

I didn't know there was a name for that lighting technique. I liked your photo in the challenge :-)

Do non-members have the ability to add post-challenge comments?

unfortunately not, so it's best to include while you're entering your submission :-)

Puckzzz, FWIW I think it's a brilliant idea. I'm especially interested in the use of lighting equipment etc. I think we should also add what flash was used (if any) with the camera and lens details.
