Hi all, I'm helping out my local aviation maintenance vocational school...strictly volunteer alumnus..no pay! They need to update the photos on their display portfolio board which is used for presentations at area high schools.
Anyone have any "wow" photos they'd like to donate? Photo credits would be noted on the photo.
What the school needs are photos of civil aircraft, not military, and also showing mechanics working on aircraft. They would prefer to not have the person identifiable so releases could be bypassed.
Thanks for any help or input.

Sorry, all of mine are military :-(

Good luck though! Sounds like a fun project.

Here are the ones I have not the best though! Maybe someone good with photoshop editing can make them better. You are welcome to them if you like.

Not sure if this will help, but an istockphoto search on airplane or aircraft has a lot of images... you might something in there that works and they charge 50 cents an image.

Edit: Added second link

Unfortunately most of my aviation pictures are of military aircrafts, but I've got some commercial and private planes on stock. All from Iceland though. I haven't posted them on the net but you can send me a message and I'll figure something out for you if you still need some pics.
Got a DC-3, Boeing 737 and 757 and some other smaller on stock.

I think all of mine (and hubby's) are military. But I will look again.

I'm not sure if it will be of use... but feel free to use the photo on my profile.

Thanks, I'll check it out, xcharrier.
alasnfreed, looks good. Can you get a release signed?

Here is kind of a unique shot, a 747 towering over a "Cessna" type. Hope you can use it.

Well, no... I don't know the guy. I just introduced myself to him at the airport that day. I probably have a few shots where he isn't identifyable... I'm digging through the archive as we speak :)

Thanks, guys. These are great! I'm going to see how they print up.
I really appreciate you helping me and the school out.

I'm putting up a quicky photo gallery for you in case any of these will work -- there are a couple where the pilot isn't shown clearly:

Those are great. At first glance 5731 might work out.
Can't see his face and there's another a/c in the background for good measure. I'll take another look. Thanks, again!

I was a local air show (Anoka, Mn - May 03) and captured many aircraft (mostly military). I did manage to get a couple shots that were not.

Woo Hoo! Looking good! Can't thank everyone enough.
Drake, The contrast between the two aircraft is great.
Casualguy, The airshow shots are very crisp and colorful.
Xcharrier, Your Air Force One shot is stunning!
I'll make sure credit to the photographer gets put on all the photos that are used.

Hey I do not know if this is far too late for you, but here is one I shot last year from inside a cockpit during an approach. (I work as an Airline Pilot so I am allowed in ;)

Please look under my profile.

All the best.

Thanks for the responses, guys. (I sent you pm's explaining what is still needed.)

The school loved the photos everyone provided. I had them printed and laminated at Staples. They were a big hit with faculty and students and I can't thank everyone enough for all the help!

Marjo, a release is not needed if these are not used for advertisement. Kind of like why the newspaper can include a picture of a celebrity without getting a release from them.

If they are used for advertising, then you may also need a release from the owner of the airplane if the tail number (N#####) is visible and therefore, the aircraft is identifyable.
