Hey guys I was just wodering if it was worth it to close out all my other stock accounts and go "Exclusive" on iStockphoto?

Everyone is gonna tell you NO on this one.

Whether or not its better is up to you. I do iStock exclusively, but I just don't want the hassle of dealing with multiple sites. I'm probably not maximizing my profits this way, but I'm happy with what I'm getting.

Why should everyone say no? I think nico_blue would disagree.

because, if you submit to 'the big 5 or 6' IS will only generate around 40% of your total income. Even when you're exclusive and get double of what a non-exclusive gets, you loose in the end.

Besides ...

putting all your eggs in on basket isn't a smart thing in a rapidly changing scene like microstocks ... even if it's the largest basket.

For those who haven't read it yet :

if you really don't have time for multiple sites, then going exclusive with istock is not such a dumb idea.

If you want to maximize your earnings you might want to try all the sites, or at least the big 6.

You can also try all the sites for a while and if you find that you would prefer selling just on istock, you can empty your portfolio on the other sites and sign up for exclusivity.

lol, saw my name is this thread so i guess i'll respond :-)

I've been exclusive on istock for nearly two years and in that time i've risen to number 7 on the site. So you could say that i have nothing to complain about... but its one of those cases of whats best for me may not be best for you and vice versa. Exclusivity has been great for me, and in two years i havent had any regrets. I've achieved everything single thing I set out to achieve and more. I mean I am 21 and I bought my own condo this year... how crazy is that?!?

This is going to sound retarded but I looked at people like lise_gagne, hidesy, mamamaart, abu(these are people on istock btw) and at the time they were by far the most successful people in the microstock world, and they were all exclusive. So I said to myself, I want to be like them when i grow up and if they are all exclusive then I will be exclusive as well :-)
