Hello everyone .. i was wondering if anyone has heard if nikon will introduce any new nikon dslr cameras this year or early next year. Right now, i have the nikon D70's. I would like to upgrade eventually and i know the D80 and D200 are out and they are really good cameras. Would i be worth waiting till next year and see what nikon introduces there new line of cameras? Thank for any feedback.

This all depends. If a new camera does come out soon, and I believe rumors are already starting to float around that they might be releasing something in the near future. Do you see yourself asking this question a year from now ? My advice is either jump in the water or get off the diving board.
The D-80 and 200 are both capable of carrying you far into the next generation of cameras before you will require an upgrade.
Some people here will probably come in and tell you to keep the D-70s and spend your money on glass instead. Depending on what you like to shoot that could be great advice also.
edit to add, I see you have a good range of glass, Go for the new body.

| Cory, where have you been man? You registered over four years ago never posted in a fourm never entered in a contest or voted. Dude your missing out. I would get the 200. I think if they release somthing new to replace the 200 it will be over two grand body only. If you want to be one of the first with the new series then hold out but you could be waiting for over a year. Good luck! |

| i`d say an announcment is imminent. they recently dropped the price of the d40. actually this post is really a test to see if i can post a message from my wii. drunk. |

The rumor is that in the next month the D3H will be released. It will be full-frame 8.5 mpix.
It won't be full frame. It will be 1.1 crop factor. 3800 US bucks and will announce within 30 days. You'll be able to get one next July. The rumors are getting hot and heavy. I'd love for the full frame 8.5 mpix to be true. The sensor sites would be huge and noise would be low, low, low. Canon would be forced to purchase a new anus. ;)
