Brielle is still here, just a registered user now and not a member, perhaps she simply didn't have the money to renew??

Amy (Scarlet) is gone. Banned for life.

scarlett still has an account, although hasn't done anything since joining in 2004. Never heard of the other two you mention.

There will be LOTS more memebers lost if they do not stop changing challenge rules AFTER they are anounced and posted for over half of the week! (essentially making the challenge way easier after some of us had already went out and done it the proper way!) (see thread on upside down challenge)

That is the lamest thing I have ever seen on here.

First of all I am not your "dude", and second of all, I did not hijack the thread. The thread was about losing members and who has left and why. What I said was totally in context to that.

Cheers.

... and of course you can provide evidence that this course of action has led to members leaving... if not then your comments could be viewed as being out of context.

They changed the Upside Down challenge? It gave me a headache, so I just decided to pass. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to try and do the toy one.

I'm not currently a member because every spare dime I have (of which I have few) is being invested into equipment. Plus, I don't participate in many challenges. There's some parts of being a member that I miss like my portfolio and being able to see what everyone's selling. But, for me the equipment is more important right now.

There you are! I've missed you!

Isn't your computer getting wet out there in the water?

I'm curious. I know and have stated why I haven't renewed my membership. How come everyone else is jumping ship as it's being put? Are you leaving the site all together or just not renewing membership?

Guess they've just gotten bored. :P

What's that smell? Hmmm. Hey! Who spilled milk in here?

I think that everytime I see someone say they put 10 or more hours into setting up a challenge shot. WTF?? I might do that if I was getting paid, but as it is, it's a virtual ribbon.

I joined the site thinking that I would learn something out of participating. I feel I have improved over the time.
But to me also seeing that people going to any lengths to win a VIRTUAL ribbons, sometimes feel a bit ridiculous.
(When I say any lengths, I mean putting hours of drive to shoot locations, spending lots of money setting up a shot, taking hundreds and hundreds of photos, friend voting (rikki) , etc etc ....).

Anyway this time I put myself a challenge, for the shadows challenge I decided to click the camera only once (I could do other homework, like little bit of preparation but I could only click the camera once).
It was fun and a lot of learning (for which I joined the site).

I don't know why everybody gets worked up about how others set up their shots, i guess if someone has the time and resources to drive and set up a shot that they are not getting paid for more power to em!
