My first blue ribbon was just disqualified. The date on my camera had 2005 rather than 2007.

Check your cameras!

Why D200s would be set to 2005 by default really beats me. They weren't even out in 05 (were they?).

Weird. Sorry about the DQ, it was (is) a beautiful image :)

You might want to check and see that it is set to the correct current date, just in case one of your challenge entries ever need to be validated :)

I had that checked two weeks ago and I am glad I did because my current submission is challenged.

Hit the quote button in the upper right of every post...?

Hit the "quote" button (at the end of each line of replies) instead of the "post reply" button. It quotes the post automatically.

Added: Too slow :))))

I had same problem but the date was 2 days back then the date when I actually took shot and was still in the challenge submission date range and it worked for :) At the same time I updated date and time and then onwards I did not touch it. :)

Prototypes and first 0.xxx firmware is always year(s) earlier than the production camera.

Hello Jeff,
I just saw that you are from Colorado Springs. I have a photography group that meets in my coffee shop/photo studio, and we are currently running a still life contest (after doing a still life workshop last Wednesday).
Participation is free, and you can check out the details here:
//photo.meetup.com/586/

I was hesitant to invite you, because your DQ'd image is soooo very good! (LOL) I think it would win our little contest (which is for some whole bean coffee).

You are welcome to join us, regardless of the date your camera is set to!
