| I have a sony camera and I took a whole bunch of pictures with it recently and when I try to download my pictures the H: drive shows up and when I click on it, it says please insert a disk into drive h: Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? |

I have had a similar problem with a card reader. Uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it or updating it to the latest version solved my issue.

If you can view the pictures on your camera you should be ok. I've had problems with the reader also.
Memory Stick seems to be more reliable then other types of memory. |

| actually my camera has a broken lcd. and I use a usb cable. I just hooked it up to my tv to see if I could make out any sense out of it. The screen just kept on jumping up and down and flashing and I could make out a couple of words like format error which would mean? Last time this happend I had to use someone elses camera to format and loose all my pictures which I don't feel like doing unless necessary. Could the fact that my card has been in other cameras and readers have something to do with it? |

| Used my MS in a CLIE, VAIOs, other Sony Cameras and no problems. Just the USB not reading the card. If your lcd is broken there may be other problems with your camera. |

Are you pluging your cable after starting your computer?
If so, your computer may be loading other programs and will not be able to perform the task of loading your driver/camera setup.
If you are connecting after booting up, then wait for a minute until your computer is done.
Also try using someone else's computer to see if it is the Memory Stick.
I once had a bad cable. if card is able to read by another computer and you know your camera is working ok then invest in another cable.
