I like it... maybe. I dunno I'm uninspired. There was one where I was up on my toe that I liked better but the light behind me blew out my nose! I was working on limited time and limited memory space! lol.

I think I get angry when I don't have my way. I can't edit when I'm angry!

Took this back in June and still have done nothing with it.

Any suggestions, samples, or ideas much appreciated!

edited... June, not July!

How about this? Just a simple radial blur:

You tell me, you like Black and White?

How about a lens flare?

Ya know... I NEVER use filters (other than USM or Gaussian Blur) on my day to day editing. Mainly because I suck at using filters! (haven't found a good use for them) So these radial blur and lens flare edits are stepping "outside the box" for me.

(and now you probably know why I prefer to stay IN the box!)

Here is mine. I found that the one visible leg thing kind of bothered me so I cropped it up higher.

What do you think?

A bit different, but here you go…

-Color Balance layer to set skin tone.
-Levels layer to adjust contrast and cool the BG.
-Light blue layer on multiply to further cool BG and tone down near white highlights.
-Second Levels layer to fix contrast.
-Duplicate original and move to top layer, erase all but mask of face to restore edges lost to highlight during manipulation (colors fixed with direct hue/sat adj.).
-Clone out red plastic on floor and fence (cut/paste and burn on fence).
-Crop to 8x10 and slight tilt.
-Slight burn on foot.

thanks everyone! It's fun seeing other edits. I get in an editing rut where I just do the same basic things.

Nick, I like the blue, that's cool! I wouldn't have thought of going that direction.

I like the b/ws too. I dunno. Still feeling apathetic about the photo but this is helping! lol. Maybe I'm attaching myself to the photo because I like the concept I had but it didn't turn out right and I should let it go altogether instead of trying to salvidge it with an edit! lol.

First off - bitchen shot. I like the conflict of the Delicate and Clean (you in a dance motion) and the Dark and calculated storage area.

Story book edit... I thought playing with the harsh light like you are bathing in the light would be cool.

Several different things on this one

Noise Reduced
Virtual Photographer - Glamour filter on a new layer
Erase your face back in where the filter blew it out
Xero Graphics Illustrator Filter (like a line art filter) on new layer 38% opacity
Merge down
Saturation -38
A sharpen or two

my 2 pennies worth:

I tried to soften the model and make the surroundings harsher to give more of a contrast.

hmmm... I doubt my boyfriend would like it if I sprayed myself with axe! ewww... boy stuff! lol.

They all look good! lol.

Hmm... still don't know what direction I want to go. I think I'm gunna sit on some of these ideas and wait for an inspiring day.

I have SOOO many photos I haven't edited because I'm sick of it... go in and out of wanting to. I have about... 5 or 6 different shoots to go through from the past 2 months. Usually I edit right away but I was doing so much the photos built up... and it's not gunna stop!

Boy, do I hear you on that! I have to hide from 2 or 3 models at any given time because I'm so behind on editing their pictures! And yes, that's the ONLY reason I have to hide from them... :o)
