Post your best NON CHALLENGE photo of 2003...

In The Park

I think this is my best photo bar none... I don't think I have ever taken one I like as much as this one :)

This is technically really nice John. Catching a moment like that was a pretty good feat as well. It may have been nice to see one of the girl's faces, but I don't think that this detracts from the shot.

I'm a landscape hacker, and this is one of my best attempts so far...

South Tufa, Mono Lake, CA.

The colors came out pretty well, and the graduated feel was acheived through the use of a polariser and wide angle. Oh, and this was taken in January at about 4000ft so it was about 20 degrees at the time ;)

Beautiful shot Ron.

For some reason I had a good day yesterday and found this on my travels:

Probably my favorite out of my 2003 shots, which was taken in June. I think it was one of my first shots that I thought looked good enough to be someone else's.

It's hard to pick a "best" shot because photos are so diffeent from each other but I am very happy with this one.

It has a lot to do with my love of the beach and water and this location in particular where I grew up on the Hood Canal in Poulsbo, Wa. I actually used two photos of the same scene with slightly different exposures, one exposed for the sky and one exposed for the beach and shell and then combined them in PS.

This one was one of my best. Through my spotting scope at 50 yds.

went to BC this past summer, this was the dock where we slept on the boat and headed for salmon at 4:30am. Juan De Fuca, Victoria.

Nice work to all. I think my best overall might be in the action challenge (which has just now been cursed), but here's my best non-challenge shot.

And since it's a panoramic shot, it looks a lot better here.

John:
Thanks for the chance to review some great photographs.
I have not had much time to spend here at DPC lately and I have a lot of catching up to do.

Pitsaman:
My vote goes for the Sun Rays Shot.

I really like the rest of the shots posted here.

I would have to say right now my best of 2003 is this majestic creature:

The first shot is cropped at 8x12 the second is 8x10.
I have the 8x12 hanging in my den and I truly love it. The colors and sharpness printed very nice.

WOOW! What a big coin! ;-)

Honestly: all shots here are amazing! What a quality. Will rush thru my files too, but probably don't find a comparable one.

Great shots everyone!
I'm having a hard time choosing one I like the best from my portfolio but I think I'll choose this one:

I don't really know why I like it, because it's a bit boring really, but I don't take many people shots so I suppose that could be why.

Fade to dream sequence
--- In the future, when I am a famous photographer, I will be asked to submit a photo for the cover of my soon to be released 'coffee table book'. This will likely be the shot I will use . This simple shot of a lone daisy was taken this summer. ---
Fade back to reality
I gotta go clean out the basement.

These were my most thrilling! These were taken on three different days in the span of two weeks. I think they are all the same fawn in his natural habitat, and not in a zoo. My heart was pounding and adrenalin rushing on each event (maybe too much coffee). They look better now that I've been able to process them in PhotoShop instead of the software that came with the camera.
