I need a "real" boom (stand/arm and counter weight), not my reflector arm that I'm currently using LOL, I don't want to have the fear of a light crashing down. When I look at B&H & Amvona etc there are multiple types sizes etc...any suggestions? What and why you like it? My new space has 11ft ceilings.
TIA, Mel |

They are all frustrating until you pay a ridiculous amount for them. I have this one which is nearly identical to a couple on B&H. The boom itself is fine. It's the style of boom clamp they use that I find annoying. |

How much "boom" do you need? A C-Stand with arm works nicely if you don't need it to go out too far. They're rock solid, especially when you put a sandbag on it. |

Thanks, I was looking at ones like This or like This
I do want to get some distance because I shoot a lot of kids and don't want them near the stand.
Thanks again, Mel |
