The challenge clearly states "has 'a' live person in it".

I can't wait to hear all the moaning about how I blew it because mine will have more than one.

:)

Well we can just slap them silly. "has a live person in it" does not mean "has only one live person in it" otherwise you would not be able to put ANYTHING else in your photo.

Oh, you can have a dead person in your photo too, as long as there is a live person as well. I guess the real question is, can we have the reflection of a live person, or is that not really a live person but instead just a piece of glass that is reflecting the image of a live person. Hmmm.... so many questions....

Reflection i think should be allowed because you can see the persons physical features (eyes, nose, etc.) shadow you just see a shadow of a person thats it no eyes, nose...

I know this is not specifically stated in the challenge, but my expectation (and I may not be able to meet that one, we'll see what the weekend brings) is that there's not just a person in the shot, but that the person is the main focus of the shot, not a good photo that just happens to have a person / people in it. But then again, that's just my interpretation . . .

Now I'm wondering if my possible idea would work. Do we need to focus on one person or can the photo consist of a crowd? After all, the challenge is people not person.

I would say, yes. Sorry I wasn't clearer. What I would hope NOT to see is a photo of, say, a car, that happens to have a person/people in it where the focus is on the car and not the people. Crowds are fine if they are the focus of the photo. Again, all that just IMO.

i interpreted the challenge as an expression of how we see people, but i always try to make people think instead of handing them pretty pictures with no meaning. so. i'm probably off on my own cloud on that one.

That''s a fairly tight interpretation... I won''t meet your expectation for sure...

I choose to be open minded about the challenges. I don''t premedititate an interpretation... I look at the submissions and see if it meets the challenge as stated by the challenge. If I can see an interpretation of the challenge, I accept it. If i can''t see any interpretation of the challenge, i score it accordingly. I don''t expect anyone to execute *my* own interpretations...
