How about one (or more) illustration contests. A shot that represents an entire short story, fable, fairy tale, etc etc etc or a scene therefrom. The story could either be specified as part of the challenge (shoot your interpretation of Macbeth) or it could be left open (take a picture that represents your favorite Mother Goose Rhyme).

Dangerous -- Do you mean like a picture of some bells for "Jingle Bells?" I have thought of/heard of/seen that suggestion before (don't remember which) and thought it was a great idea. Might need to stipulate that the title of the picture was the title of the song, otherwise we might be guessing about a lot of pictures. :-) |
