I sold my first picture on Photographers Direct. A very good feeling.

Excellent! I've gotten a few nibbles from them over the last 1.5 years, but never a sale. Care to share your take?? How much?

There was a request for a shot of the Levis Store IN Japan...that's a 5 minute bicycle ride from my place. 250USD minus the commission to PD. The sale hasn't gone allll the way through...so maybe I'm speaking too soon. I was the only one to submit to it. I know the company that requested it since I use their educational material here in Japan.

Can someone tell me how they USUALLY ask for payment. I've never used paypal, even though I've setup an account. Any work I've done (Non photo related) I've always asked to be paid by direct bank transfer.

Paypal is pretty much like direct bank transfer, once they pay you at paypal, you can get it transfered to your bank account by few simple clicks.

OK, and when they ask for a release form is the general release form that I've seen (Very basic permission) enough, or is there something more detailed required?
