After recently being loaned the Canon 100mm F2.8 Macro I was very sad to see it go back to it's owner at the start of this month :o( (thanks to Ecce Signum for the loan :o) ). As I'm missing it I thought I'd dig out some of the shots I took with it just before it went back! Would love your thoughts on these....

Thanks for reading :o)

very nice, Natalya. rather addicting, that lens, isn't it? i like the 3rd and 6th, mainly for the dreaminess.

I had never seen the world so up close and personal till I put this lens on my camera! Since then I'm looking at everything around me wondering just what kind of detail the 100mm Macro would see that the naked eye cant!!

It's only a matter of time before I HAVE to get myself one!! :o)

Thanks for taking a look Skip :o)

I love the rich colours in the array of thumbnail images. Well done getting the fantastic detail in the bug's wing! Great work.

I hope you're able to get your own macro lens soon, or that you have many future opportunities to borrow this one! Thanks for sharing your shots...left you a few comments.

That would be an allium - an ornamental onion.

Thanks for posting that, Talj! It's lovely.

I might have to go out and shoot some flowers today myself!

hate to say if your macro shots are that good, you are going to have to save up and buy that lens!!!

if too expensive, you could also look at the 50mm macro lens and a 2x adapter.
