I *resemble* that remark!!! lol

I'm just excited. I have no idea when mine is arriving, but I have a 4-day soccer tournament this weekend and I'm really hoping it comes tomorrow or Friday.

Where have you been for the last couple months?

I got the magical phone call today saying mine was ready to collect. I am charging the battery as we speak. When I ordered mine, back in early April, I was the first to pay a deposit so when the sole camera came into the shop today it had my name on it. It was a real surprise to get it so early as I had been told the store wouldn't be getting any until at least middle of June.

Woohoo, we have a winner! :-)

So what will you shoot first? When do we get to see sample pics?

Its starting to get dark here and I will loose the light in about 40 minutes or so and my model (six year old son) is laying on the lounge unable to move with a really sore neck. I may have to wait until tomorrow morning. I have a weekend of soccer, hockey and joeys scouts to shoot so it should get a really good workout then.

I did get to play with the demo model that arrived in store on Friday of last week. The shutter sounds incredible - even better than the video clips

I just played the video for my wife and the look on her face was like, "That's a camera??? Sounds like a machine gun."

It is a machine gun.

The Canon MKIII 600 Frames per minute.
The BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) 600 Rounds Per Minute.

Thanks for the links, David. Although this camera is far out of my league, it is interesting to dream. I particularly liked looking at the full-sized, high-ISO photos on R.Galbraith's site. Wowee-wow.

Insane...I remember my friend at a Canon film camera that shot 10FPS...he had to put a new roll in every other second...waste of money!! Now with digital that's another story.
