Today I went to work and my boss told me "Congrats" I had no idea what he was talking about til he informed me that I took 3rd place in the Railfest photo competition with this photo //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=13544

The article was in the local newspaper and named me as the 3rd place winner, photos of the first and second place winners were in the paper but not me, I was unavailable for the photo according to the local newspaper. LOL no kidding they didn't even notify me that I placed 3rd.

I feel good with that too, cause the competition was for any photo taken in the last 150 years as long as it dealt with the history of the railroad throughout Pennsylvania. I was the only person to submit a photo taken in the past year and I was also the only digital submission.

I called the museum to find out why I was not notified only to be told they couldn't find my phone number to call and let me know, but they were holding a Museum Store Gift Certificate for me. Oh boy look out cause Santa Claus has extra Christmas money and is going to buy Thomas the Tank Engine toys for a certain little boy.

ha ha ha, there were quite a few photos in the competition. Just ask Alan maybe he counted them...he saw the photos I had entered.

Seems to me that a comment like this one is kind of cruel, it only serves to hurt Anna. Seems to me also it is not right to make this kind of a comment in this situation.

It's ok Ursula, he's just like the museum and doesn't want to recognize my accomplishment.

Wow! What a terrible thing to say!

Furthermore, the photograph is quite good. I'm not a particular fan OneSweetSin's work. But she has her own style, and sticks with it, and I respect that tremendously. Anyway, I think this image is full of character, and tells a great story (not seen much around here). It talks of the death of the railroads, not only by the demise of the tracks, but by the winter cold, and the colors. Then off in the right hand side of the frame the reason for the death of rail is ripping through the image, technology.

Nice work, and congrats you deserve it.

Doesn't someone have to laugh for it to be a joke!

Sarcasm is hard to express in the written form, and it can easily be taken the wrong way without anything to qualify it.
