Tough call. The 'Iceberg' shot is "ok" - nothing that says "WOW" for me personally. The flower shot has more immediate impact as something to look at but I think you'd have been dinged for a thin DOF with the forefront petals of the main flower obscurring the crisply focused area. This leaves too much of the photo soft setting yourself up to the OOF comments and lower votes.

Long story short - IMO you made the correct choice between the two. :)

That is exactly why I didn't enter this photo.

My turn. :)

Oops! Never mind...I'll hang onto this thought for later.

Well these aren't really "outtakes" because I didn't shoot for the challenge, so I would love some feedback on these images that I much prefered to my entry.

THANKS!

Not an outtake. Just wanted to let the commentors know that this is a little girl on a softball team. Most people mention the "little guy" so I wanted to clear this up. Thanks for the comments even though it did not do all that well.

Always interested in BW conversions. Yours shows the model better, although it emphasizes her tattoo which seems not to belong in the feel of your photo (if anywhere), but it loses the wonderful sensuousness of the gauzy drape over her skin tones.
