I shot this at a wedding this weekend. My amateur eye may very well think this is much better than it is so your comments would be helpful. Any pp suggestions would be great too. It has only been sized to fit the format of dpc...other than that it is untouched.

She's a cutie! Perhaps a little shadow/highlight work to bring the left side of her face out of the shadow a bit more? And I think I would try cloning the lighter parts of the pavement behind her to match the blacker parts.

I like it too, but wish there was a bit more room at the top left. I might try some choppin on it.

It's a bit out of focus as well as the other comments.

WOW that's awesome. I just got Photoshop. I'm going to play around with it too. I don't know how to do anything fancy with it.

Is it really oof? I don't see it.

I can send you the small .psd file, but you'll have to redo the layer masking. Glad you like it.

Thanks Yanko, I've been working on them lately ;)

Well, her face seems to be in that image anyway.. unless it's a bit of motion blur. Not so bad that it can't be fixed though.. as wavelength's edits show.

Thanks Megatherian-I have been sitting here for 20 minutes trying to get these images to post-I don't know if it is my Mozilla Firefox or my braincells dying away. But this is a wonderful photo of the little girl by kotzie-I love the fact that she is offcentered and not posed(which is a very hard shot to get)

Oh my gosh those are great! I won't be around all day but I'll play with my new toy (photoshop) tomorrow and we'll see what I come up with.

Thanks again!

Ok...it's my day off! I'm going to the library to get a Photoshop book and learn. I'd love to know the techniques you all used for these edits.

I've been playing with a b&w of my own. I spent 10 minutes trying to clone a fleck out of that step behind her. I was swearing at my computer and everything...then I wiped the piece of dust off my screen and everything was fine. Duhhhh.

Hiya, PM me your e-mail address, I still have the .psd file that will show you all the steps that I took for the color one, the B&W version can be seen in the tutorials section.

I'm working up an explanation also...

here's a fun one, this is an acidic action from atncentral

and here's another but the color was off and I didn't do much to try to correct it, sorry. to get the glowing effect select the highlights (ctrl+alt+~) and blur them :0)

I do like Steve's b&w- it's a good conversion :0)

It's such a cute shot - I had to try my hand at it.
