Hi guys,
I have some stock images at Alamy, all Licensed. Sales are slow, of course, but when they do occur, it is very rewarding, however, my motivation for sending out more images decreases as my images just sit there, doing nothing, longer, and longer, and longer...

My question:
Is there anyone here who has around the same amount of images on Alamy and Istockphoto/Shutterstock (500 here, 500 there), but make more money on the microsite?

I realize, technically, you should make more SALES on microsites (downloads), but does anyone actually make more $ on the microsites?

I also realize, my images could sit on Alamy for 5 years, and then one sale could get me over $1,000, but, are there any unique experiences out there, where your Micro sales are totally beating your Macro sales totals?

I have had a steady income from micros for almost 3 years. Not much $400 a month but enough to have money to buy new gear every now and then. In the meanwhile I have been submitting to Alamy steadily and now my Alamy earnings are growing while micros are slightly decrasing.
If you want money to roll in every month submit to both; but not the same images.

Cristy, I noticed you have over 3,000 images on Alamy. You must be making significantly more on Alamy than the Micros, am I right?

How many sales do you make per month from Alamy?

3,000 images seems like a resting point, where you can back off a bit, and not have to submit every week and still make good sales, depending on the type of images you have with the agency, of course.

My Alamy income is significantly growing each month. It is very unpredictable though. I have been with them for a year now and sales are steadily growing in number, but vary in price. My lowest sale has been 30$, my highest 685$.
