PopSci Article

I am a bit of a gadget freak and I came across this new lens technology and got rather excited about it. Very interesting! A 300 MP camera and a 22 MP cell phone camera are possible?? Scary to think of teenagers running around with that!!

Doesn't seem like it would replace good glass, but this new technology is fascinating and clever how it integrates with Adobe Software for full creative control. Purists may not like it at all. :)

What do you think??

looks like a bee hive, but i think the idea behind the technology may actually leads to bigger things.

that is pretty interesting, would love to see more about it.

Call me slow, but I don't see the obvious advantage besides having near infinite depth of field?

There is the gazillion megapixel boasting rights, bit when the image is compiled in Adobe software (sold seperately hehe!) that pretty much falls away.

Then there is the issue of chromatic abberation and overheating pixels if you try cram too many pixels into too small a space like on my F828.

Am I missing something?
