Hi, Im going to Busch Gardens Tampa on thurs, and I need a polarizing filter, (photo ops of many animals and roller coasters). But I need the polarizing filter from a local store because I need it by Thurs. Does anyone know what local stores carry the best and cheapest polarizing filters?

The 'best' and 'cheapest' can't be had in one filter.

You should be able to get a cheap polarizer it Ritz camera for about $20 probably.

Ritz wants around 33 dollars for a Quantary Polarizer. Is this lens worth the money? I am only fourteen and Im on a tight budget.

That doesn't sound bad if its a coated or multi-coated filter. I paid $69 from B&H for the polarizer I'm currently using...

whats the difference between a regular polarizer, and a circular polarizer? Whats a Linear Polarizer?

I was in the same position as you last summer hsteg, needing a circular polarizer and not having the time to wait for it to come by mail. I got a local camera store to sell me a 58mm Sunpak that was marked $59.95 for $35.00 by saying "You don't really charge that price do you? I've seen them advertised for much less." Don't know if this would work with a chain like Ritz, but may be worth a try. And you can tell them your age & finacial condition same as you do here. Good Luck.

i believe linear polarizers work best only when facing an angle 90 degrees from the sun, while circular polarizers are much more versatile and should work under most conditions.

If you want to use the polarizer on a digital camera you need to get a circular polarizer.

Anyways, I went to Ritz and they had that buy two get one free quantary filter sale. So I got a UV, Circular Polarizer, and a neutral density filter all for just over 50 dollars. They are good filters, and a great price.
