Today is the second annual "Get over it day"

What do you need to just get over? I'm over the last boyfriend and over habitually saying yes when I really mean NO. :P

couldn't agree with you more about the saying yes when I mean NO thing ... I'm also WAY over the "office politics" thing ...

I recently 'got over' a relationship that I had a few years ago that ended with her saying 'there's something really important to me I want to tell you....' but she was never able to out and say it...

I found out that she had been romantically involved with a mutual friend whom she married last december.

I believe strongly that if a person dates someone, they make a decision that said person is generally a good person - someone for whom it is worth it to overlook minor personality flaws that often get blown out of proportion in 'breakups', so it is pointless to leave on a sour note. Well, self-defamatory at the least to speak badly of that person.

It was very hard for me for the last 4+ years and it was a tremendous weight off my shoulders to know that she really, genuinely did care (via details disclosed recently) and that it really was worth it to continue viewing her highly since the breakup.

Considering that was my only serious relationship to date, one could even say that it was life-changing in a kinda minor way to get over something of that magnitude to me.

I have just "got over" breaking up with a friend some months ago.
I thought I would die, literally, but I have survived.
life is beautiful, no matter what happens, it is beautiful.
AND my heart is too precious to be broken:)

My story is a little different.

I have been working at a printing company as a receptionist for the past 5 years. As I have often put it, i am OVER it. I'm SO over answering phones. So, I gave them my notice this past Monday! I start a new job on April 2, and my last day here is March 28th. I'm so proud for just taking the chance on something new, and opening up a new world of opportunity for myself!

I'm OVER my job. Literally! :)

That is wonderful news for you! That can be very hard to do, but very rewarding once you do. Good luck!

I want to get over being bummed by how much further ahead of me in technique and vision some photographers are. It sounds petty, but looking at some people's work, I am simultaneously floored and bummed. That's hard on the back. :)

Sometimes it's a source of inspiration, and sometimes it's a setback, making think that it's just not there for me. I need to get over it and just do my thing.

that's exactly what I thought when I first saw the photos here on dpc. I didn't even know people can make such beautiful things. I hadn't really seen much photography before I started taking photos:)
so I just jumped like I was jumping from 12 meters into the waterfalls:)
Louis, I don't really think you should worry about this. I love your art. and there always will be someone who is better than you both in technique and vision because they started earlier, but so what? :)

I'd like to get over constantly hitting the "update" button on this site, but don't think it's going to happen without a 12-step program, LOL.
