I am participating in a craft sale and selling prints. I will be making a local website (non-internet connected) to showcase my own prints.

If any of you want your prints (select some of your best?) to be featured at this sale (with photo credit), let me know asap. I'll figure out and let you know what I need to make this possible.

The audience for the show is about 350 - 500 people, all of whom are "likely" buyers of SOMETHING at the show. Most of the other crafts will be homemade 'stuff' and I figure the pics will go well (I sold three while sitting around editing the site earlier today).

Thanks
Matt

The Truth about John Galt finally revealed...

Well, why wouldn't I want you to sell prints? The whole theory behind the referral service at DPC Prints is to sell each others' prints on commission ... this seems like about the same thing.

What kind of crowd is it/what kind of style photos do you think would do best?

Thanks for the offer!

I know about referals and stuff, but this isn't going to be through online, though I am going to hand out the dpcprints link... this is more like a catalog - and I'm asking who wants to be in the catalog? I will sell them for their current dpcprints price (unless the person wishes to make a change for this sale) and the photographer will get their percent.

Why wouldn't you want me to? There's a lot I don't understand about dpc - I don't know why you wouldn't want me to, but I'm asking to get positive "yes, include me" instead of someone saying "I never said you could sell my print."

Matt,

Sign me up. I'm interested to see if people (apart from me) are actually interested in my prints. You are welcome to the referral credit.

Let me know if you need anything else (like location info. for example). Feel free to choose whatever prints you like.

Cheers,

Ron.

I'd really applicate it if you'd include one or two of mine. Help yourself to whatever you'd like. Consider the referral yours. Thanks for the exposure.

Sign me up too. Of my B&W dpcprints, I'd suggest //www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=23807 and //www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=37442. For color, //www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=21974 and //www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=29274 are probably the best bets. You are welcome to the referral credit (you are using dpcprints, right? I'm confused by your statement that "this isn't going to be through online")

Thanks!

I wouldn't mind being included. I only have like 12 or 13 pictures, so any of them.

We had a show like this in our area yesterday. My church had a "booth" and did really well. I was going to sell some pics, but never got around to it. I'm still kicking myself.

I'd be delighted to be included!

Just let me know what you need.

Regards--Neil

It would be great if you could include a few of my prints. I'm not sure what the crowd is going to be like, so if you could pick a few which you think would be popular? I've spent too much time looking at my own work to be able to tell if its any good or not :P

'Golden Years' seems to be my best seller.

Feel free to use mine. Count me in.

Whatever you think might appeal to the crowd there.
(Let me know if you pick one... just out of curiosity..)

Very excellent service to provide. I have been wanting to do something like this myself (a computer catalog with the prints) to take to a craft show. And then have some Prints for examples and possible selling right then and there. This would make it good to know what is of interest and wanted, then I could make more prints of that particular one to have on hand.

And my DPCPrints pics are open to ya...feel free to choose what you want.

THANKS

Mav,

Feel free to include any of my prints you'd like to. If you see anything at my pbase gallery that isn't in the dpcprints site that you like better, let me know and I'll put it up at dpcprints.

Thanks,
Shari

I'd like you to use my two favorite prints:

I have both hanging on my wall at home, and in a couple other people's walls, too. Both are lovely, and super-high quality.

So, can ya' use 'em?

Yes include me!
I also thought it would make sense for you to pick the ones that you thought would be more likely to do well, but that looks like it's getting to be a lot of work for you. I'll try to pick 3-5 tonight when I get home form work.

Ok, I'm going to go through and pick out the best of what will sell to my crowd (it's a pretty varied crowd I work with) and see what I can do. If anything comes of it, I'll let you all know (if you see unexplained sales on 12/9 and 12/10, maybe 12/11, you'll know that I got my stuff together and that'd be me. :)

Anyone else wants in, there's still plenty of time.

Mav,

Please could you add this?

Many thanks.

I want in. Anything in my portfolio is fair game if you think you can use it. My favorites are:
//www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=47171
//www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=38445
//www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=39186
I plan on adding many more to my portfolio in the next few days. Gives me incentive to finally get my favorites processed for print and online, even if you don't end up using them :)

I have a question for anyone using PS: What quality level do you save your print JPGs? I have generally used 9 or 10 for my prints in the past but never really did a quality comparison test to determine if there was a noticeable difference. Also, are small borders a good idea or a bad idea? My thinking is that it helps a bit with matte framing, but I really don't know.
