I was just thinking today that since i got my computer about 2-3 years ago. I havn't hardly used the arrow keys at all, i play video games and just use W,A,S,D. I dont know what i would ever use the arrow keys for anymore :P Anyone here actually use the Arrow keys?

That is my random thought for the day, you may now return to your update button.

Many games used AWSD because they also use keys on the right side. Modern first person shooters (even old one doom) use the mouse its hard to use the mouse and the arrow keys and still hit 12345 and 6.

I use my arrow keys all the time in Video editing, photoshop, and 3d animation. In photoshop and after effects, i use them to nudge images up or over a few degrees for pinpoint placement you can't get with your mouse. and also for text and blending modes. if you highlight your font in the character box, using the up or down arrows will scroll through your fonts allow you to quickly change them without clicking the dropdown window and making a selection for each change. you can do the same with your blending modes in the layers window.

Or CTRL+T and click in the particular adjustment box and slowly click the scrol wheel up or down to rotate or nudge.

I am a hardcore keyboard junky. I do most of my computer work with the keyboard and as such use the arrows extensively. I work all day on a computer and I play on one when I get home.

Highlight text with a mouse? I can't be bothered. If I want this whole line hightlighted. Shift home and if its multiple lines shift then up arrow. I only want a couple of words? Shift-ctrl-then arrow to how many I want. If I want to just move the cursor to where I need it quickly. Ctrl and arrow keys. Of course home and end are really helpful too.

:)

I'm just old. I'm used to keyboards that didn't have arrow keys and editors that use hjkl to navigate. I still do that.
